About

As the name suggests, we tried to illustrate the concept of our gastropub in every detail – the interior, the bar menu, the cuisine and the background music.

This is a pub with a cozy and distinct atmosphere, located in the historical center of Moscow, on Tverskoi boulevard. In search of inspiration, we were looking back on the the post-soviet times, when there was a nice restaurant with traditional russian cuisine, affordable prices and home atmosphere, located in this exact building. We were eager to integrate russian cuisine and craft alcohol into the interior and the atmosphere of a British pub, only seen from a more contemporary ‘russian’ angle. We did not neglect English traditions, but adapted them to our culture, filling a traditional English pie with Sroganov meat and making Burgers, the most popular meal of any bar, with salo (cured pork fat). Traditional bruschettas and smorrebrods were replaced by sandwiches (“buters” – rus.) with caviar of roasted vegetables, with cod liver, sandwiches with minced caspian herring and salted farmer beef.

Signature Cocktails

As the name suggests, we tried to illustrate the concept of our gastropub in every detail – the interior, the bar menu, the cuisine and the background music.

The Russian Pub has a great choice of alcoholic drinks, available for the visitors. What you will never see here is the bar shelves, packed with beer bottles, – which has become so common for the pubs. Our Brand Barmen Max Bradarskiy takes the beer menu pretty seriously, having tried approximately 200 beer types, but selecting only 20 bottle and 8 tap craft beer options for the menu. The wine brands are strictly “made in Russia” – with approximately 25 types of red, white, pink and sparkling wines. The Strong drinks section is presented by the collection of 14 homemade tinctures.

Barmens were given an assignment to write an answer to the question “How do you see a Russian cocktail bar”. As a result two separate sections appeared in the menu: “Healthy Mixtures” with cherry and pumpkin smoothies and lemonades, made with seabberies, camomile and basil-cucumber. The other one is the “Tipsy mixtures” section, which consists of the cocktails, you can only try in the Russian Pub: the Red Square, the Russian-Kashen, the Russian Tiki Mug, the Rodina-Malina.
